The winners of the Closed Championships will then compete against their Guernsey counterparts in the Deutsche Bank Channel Islands Championships on the weekend of 1st and 2nd May.
All three tournaments will take place at the Geoff Reed Table Tennis Centre and will feature twenty different events for both men and women, singles and doubles and a range of age groups, including Veteran, Over 70s, Over 60s, Over 50s and under 9, 11, 13, 15, 18 and 21 categories.
Chris Band, President of J.T.T.A., said:
"The Jersey Table Tennis Association is thrilled to have the support of Deutsche Bank for our forthcoming Closed Championships and the Inter Channel Island Tournament. Both events involve a great deal of time in the preparation and running and both will be far busier this year due to the huge influx of new young players."
Andreas Tautscher, Chief Country Officer, Deutsche Bank Channel Islands, added:
"I am delighted that Deutsche Bank is able to extend its support of sporting excellence through this sponsorship deal for the Jersey and Channel Islands Closed Championships. Deutsche Bank has enjoyed a successful partnership with the Guernsey Table Tennis Association and it is a pleasure to support the sport in Jersey also. Deutsche Bank is a strong believer in promoting the values of sportsmanship and team spirit and this is reflected in our belief in the importance of youth sports development."
As well as supporting the Guernsey Table Tennis Association's development programme, Deutsche Bank also supports youth development programmes in a number of other sports in Jersey.
